Respect for nature and the environment

Caring for the setting around the campsite comes down to a host of simple actions. Some concern water or energy, others waste, green spaces or the products sold on site. At Le Clapas, these actions are simply part of everyday life.

  • Buying local

Regional produce at the grocery shop and the bar.

  • Saving water

    Push-button taps and rainwater harvesting.

  • Limiting lighting

    LEDs, timers and motion sensors.

  • Sorting waste

Recycling bins, a composter and battery collection.

  • Recycling oils

Frying oil from the snack bar collected and recycled.

  • Watering sparingly

Watering in the evening, and never the lawns.

  • Reusing green waste

    Shredded prunings used as mulch.

  • Feeding the plants

    Home-made nettle fertiliser.

  • Caring for green spaces

Weeding by hand or with heat, battery-powered tools.
